The Halos are a five-piece acoustic Roots /Alternative Folk band. The band features Michael Brown from the We Ain’t Misbehaving Band and Rev. Robert Blues Band, upright bass, Victoria Woolen-Danner on banjo, vocals, drum, and harmonica, Wendy Meyer of Motherlode and MoonDogs bands, playing guitar and vocals, Karen Hart also from the MoonDogs and the We Ain’t Misbehaving bands doing rhythm and vocals, and Abby Haughee from MoonDogs, playing mandolin/vocals. The Halos have performed for the last ten years in the Charleston Area for fundraisers, festivals, local venues, and house parties. We provide a wide range of melodious harmonies some describe as "comfort food" tunes. Women's harmonies and strings ear worm their way into your heart and it's a relaxing joy to listen. Some selections of our music include tunes by John Prine, Norah Jones, Lucinda Williams, Hooray for the Riff Raff, Stray Birds, and many, many more. The Halos take pride in adding our own interpretation of songs that speak to us, and hopefully to you as well.
