AffordabilitySilicon Valley is great, particularly if you don’t mind paying $3,500 per month for a studio apartment that will only accommodate a twin mattress and a mini-fridge. If you’re looking for a little more room and a more relaxed lifestyle, Champaign-Urbana is waiting. The good news? While earning the same as you would in many Silicon Valley jobs, you’ll pay a lot less for, well, just about everything. Oh, and we only have an average 14-minute commute time. |
Active LifestyleSurrounded by natural beauty that includes more than 1,077 acres of city parks and 26 miles of trails, the residents of Champaign-Urbana have embraced an outdoor, active lifestyle. With ample bike lanes throughout the area, there is a growing contingent of workers who bike to work every day. And, with bountiful area farms, CSAs and community gardens, there is no shortage of healthy, affordable food. |
