Homecoming at Illinois is always a week to remember, and this year is no different! Join us in Champaign-Urbana for a week long celebration, with a 5K, parade, talent shows, and of course, football!. Each day, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is celebrating the spirit of the Illinois FamILLy, with events across campus.

Kickoff Event
Sunday, September 8
Kick off Homecoming 2024 with the annual Alumni Center Fountain dyeing on Sunday, September 8 at 10 a.m. The “flying” pancake breakfast is being held at Alice Campbell Alumni Center. Everyone is welcome to stop by to get in the Homecoming spirit.
Homecoming 5k
Sunday, September 8
Hit the street to kick off Illinois Homecoming Week in the annual Illinois Homecoming 5K Race! Join us on Sunday, September 8 at 10 a.m., rain or shine, to run, jog, walk or roll from the east end of Anniversary Plaza to the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. Sign up here.
Homecoming Parade
Friday, September 13
The annual Homecoming Parade starts Friday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m. The parade will get underway at the intersection of Kirby Avenue and Fourth Street before heading west on Gregory Drive and turning south on First Street. Check out the parade route map here.
Game Day V. Central Michigan
Saturday, September 14
Rep your orange and blue for the biggest game of the season! The game is Saturday, September 14 at 11 a.m. Tickets are sold through the Fighting Illini. Purchase a FamILLy 4 pack for $89. You can purchase your tickets directly here.
