Ben Carrasquillo came to Champaign in the fall of 2015, fresh off a stint with the Disney All-American College Band in Anaheim, CA. Since then, he has completed both his Masters and Doctorate degrees at the U of I, won national trombone competitions, taught at EIU, performed across the state with groups including Vimana, met and married his wife Jessica Pearce, and had twin daughters, Emilia & Sophia. His next chapter takes him to State College, PA to start a tenure-track position at Penn State. Ben’s performing and teaching, and most of all, his personality in our music scene will be greatly missed. Join us for a concert of friends performing Ben’s arrangements.
