When Lucia, a Mexican-born novelist, lands her first TV writing job, she feels out of place in the white male-dominated writers’ room. She quickly befriends the only other Latino around — a janitor named Abel. But as Abel shares his personal stories, they begin to appear in Lucia’s scripts. Fade is a witty, compelling play about race, class, and who gets to tell whose story.
