Jason Finkelman Presents: Improviser's Exchange Live with Ravish Momin
NYC-based electronic drummer Ravish Momin (aka Sunken Cages) performs alone and in collaboration with members of Improvisers Exchange Ensemble. His eclectic career includes studying with US Jazz master-drummer Andrew Cyrille, performing with pop star Shakira and US Jazz legend Kalaparush Maurice McIntyre, and leading ‘Turning Jewels Into Water’ with Haitian electronic music pioneer Val Jeanty and Tarana, a global-Jazz trio.
Admission Free. Donations support the Nick Rudd Music Fund.
Improvisers Exchange is a multifaceted initiative led by Jason Finkelman broadly exploring omni-idiomatic improvised music. IE @ Rosebowl Tavern provides opportunity to present unique combinations University of Illinois ensemble members along with improvising artists from our community and beyond.
