- When you need to scratch that creative itch, start in downtown Urbana. Art Coop, located in Lincoln Square Mall, is an independently owned art-supply wonderland where you can stock up on all your favorites: acrylics, oils, watercolors, spray paint, oil pastels, charcoals, markers, swoon-worthy paper...we could go on! (If the gallery's open, you can check out some amazing local art.
- Just a few doors down at High in Fiber Rugs, you can take beginner-friendly workshops on rug-tufting, quilt squares, felting, and more in a laid-back, fun atmosphere.
- While you're still in Urbana, head over to Klose Knit for lovely, high-quality yarns and find out more about community knitting groups.
- Once mid-afternoon/early evening hits, head to Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery in Champaign for one of their many classes, like stained glass or pasta making.
- After the sun goes down, head to Gallery Art Bar in Urbana for a refreshing beverage among the tunes and light installations. If it's a Tuesday, enjoy their free Collage Night!
