Exploring the Champaign-Urbana Area Post-Holiday Season
As the festive cheer settles down and the New Year ushers a fresh start, it’s easy to assume that there’s little to do in the Champaign-Urbana Area after the holidays. While Campustown is quieter with students away on break, there’s plenty of things to do and see in the weeks ahead. From sledding down the popular Colbert park Hill to discovering your next favorite restaurant during our coveted Champaign-Urbana Area Restaurant Week event, here’s a glimpse into how to make the most of your time this post-holiday season!
Embrace the Cultural Scene
Our cultural landscape remains alive with museums, galleries, and live entertainment for the month of January and beyond. Dive into the art scene at Krannert Art Museum, with over 11,000 artworks from the 4th B.C.E. to the present. For a theatrical delight, catch a performance at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, hosting an array of shows from classical music to modern dance. For the lovers of country and rock music, The Cadillac over at Paxton is a warehouse-style concert venue who hosted the likes of country star Priscilla Block and Gina Miles, the winner of the 23rd season of The Voice (and Paxton native)!
