From classic craft fairs to curated maker pop-ups, these area markets make it easy to shop small, discover local artists, and cross a few names off your list. Use this guide to plan your holiday browsing—then bundle up and enjoy.
The Great Pumpkin Patch Pop-Up
When: Tue–Sat, now–Dec 23, 9am–5pm
Where: 202 S. Vine St., Arthur
What: The Great Pumpkin Patch comes to downtown Arthur for the holiday season! Find Homestead Bakery treats, squash, handmade items, candy & vintage soda, holiday décor, gifts, and more.
Riggs Christmas Market
When: Dec 5–7, 12–14, 19–21 (times vary)
Where: Riggs Beer Company, Urbana
What: A German-style market with Glühwein and hot chocolate indoors and out, plus a rotating lineup of local vendors—a festive spot to browse and sip.
The Farms: winter market at allerton park & retreat center
When: Fri–Sat, Dec 19–20, 5–9pm
Where: 515 Old Timber Rd., Monticello
What: Besides selling their handmade creations, instructors from The Farms will share information about their craft and do informal demonstrations. Both evenings will include food trucks, indoor and outdoor bars and an opportunity to stroll through Holiday GLOW. The Greenhouse Café will be open from 5 to 8pm with a limited menu.
Admission: $10/vehicle, payable upon arrival. Cash preferred; exact change appreciated.
Arthur 3rd Saturday Christmas Bazaar
When: Sat, Dec 20, 9am–3pm
Where: 2058 1800 East Rd., Arthur
What: The vendors of the Arthur 3rd Saturday Country Christmas Bazaar would like to invite you to come and finish your Christmas shopping in the charming town of Arthur and indulge in some delicious homemade treats, unique handmade items, and support local small businesses!
Hibernation Solstice Market
When: Sat, Dec 20, noon–5pm
Where: Cloud Mountain Kombucha, 208. W. Griggs St. Urbana
What: A cozy solstice Yule market showcasing all local vendors, makers, movers, & shakers. It's everything you need for last-minute shopping.
