Join Champaign County Indivisible at noon Saturday, Oct. 18 to show we won’t bow down to those seeking to destroy our democracy and limit our freedom. Millions across the country will attend this nationwide day of nonviolent protest at the second No Kings Day of Action.
Scheduled speakers include University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign law professor Faye E. Jones, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Student Body President Gabi DalSanto, and Cunningham Township Supervisor Danielle Chynoweth. Following the speakers, participants are invited to march the designated route supported by local law enforcement and city offices.
The rally’s show of unity is co-organized by ACLU of Champaign County, ACLU of Illinois, Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Champaign-Urbana, Champaign County Democrats, Champaign-Urbana Resistance Effort (CURE), Indivisible Illinois, Indivisible Vermilion County, Illini Democrats, and Young Democratic Socialists of America.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
