Professors Marsh Jones and Jalisa Beauford will join the Black Students Association
and Club Latino to discuss definitions of racism in our society and its history in the U.S.
The group also considers incidents in the news with a view toward
ways to overcome racism’s presence and impact in our world.
This event is part of Parkland College's observation of
Black History Month in February. With the theme
"African Americans and Labor," the college will explore
historical and contemporary African American accomplishments.
Events are open to the public unless otherwise noted.
This event will be held in Room U140.
