Join us for an hour of free education with Casting Director Sarah Cayce, owner of Compass Casting and Bokeh Background, as she walks us through the process of starting as a background actor to booking speaking roles. The start of so many actors' on-camera experience is as a background actor. Casting Director Sarah Cayce is bringing 16+ years of experience to our monthly meeting to discuss what she's looking for in background submissions, how to maximize your days on set as a background, and some general pitfalls of background work. She'll then talk about how to start auditioning for speaking roles, making big bucks, and doing more acting rather than crowd work.

Sarah will spend 45 minutes discussing her expectations and experiences in the casting office, then open the floor to questions for the last fifteen minutes of the meeting. Please feel free to bring your questions, no matter how general or precise, big or small, and she'll do her best to answer them. This event is designed to give a more in-depth understanding of what to expect when you're submitting to be a part of projects, the types of communications you'll start to receive once you've booked a project, and what to expect before you shoot.

We'll be in the auditorium - follow the signs and map to get to us.
Parking is on the south side of the building in the marked lot.

Cost: Free!
