In collaboration with The Beat on Market Street, For the Culture invites you to Comedy Night & Open Mic at The Literary.
Black humor has always been more than just jokes. It's how we've gotten through hard times, how we've told our stories, how we've connected with one another, and sometimes how we've said the things nobody else wanted to say. Some of the funniest moments come from real life, real experiences, and real conversations. This night is all about creating space for those stories.
Come enjoy a night of comedy, storytelling, spoken word, music, and open mic performances from community members who have something to share. Whether it's a joke, a funny life story, a poem, a song, or a perspective you've been wanting people to hear, the microphone is open.
Not interested in performing? That's okay too. Pull up a chair, grab a drink, laugh with your neighbors, support local talent, and enjoy an evening built around community and creativity. The Literary has always been a place where people feel safe to gather to share ideas, stories, and conversation. This event continues that tradition by giving people a platform to be themselves and bring others along for the ride. Come laugh, listen, perform, and connect.
