Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery is hosting a free, hands-on Women in Ranching workshop. Led by our Herd Manager, Sarah Gardner, this full day of learning covers goat handling and health assessment, hoof trimming, mastitis testing, and parasite monitoring with fecal floats. We'll also spend time exploring how rotational grazing and soil health shape the herd, the milk, and ultimately the cheese we make on the farm.
No previous experience with goats or livestock is required. This is a beginner-friendly space, and beginning, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ farmers are especially encouraged to apply.
The workshop is free to attend, with breakfast and lunch included. Space is limited to 12 attendees, so registration is required. Apply by August 14.
