The goal of the project Able in CU is to highlight the diverse experiences of individuals with disabilities within our community and create a space where people feel seen, represented, and valued. Through creativity and collaboration, this project explores the power of a community connected by shared stories. By interviewing and working alongside local individuals with different experiences of disability, Shauri Gonzalez of the Elegant Easel  created portraits that reflect their strength, identity, and meaningful personal journeys.
