The Occasional Cajun Band plays a mix of traditional Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music. The band performs music found in the dancehalls (and at festivals) in southwest Louisiana including lively two-steps, soulful waltzes, and get-down Zydeco. We hope that you'll want to dance. Musical influences include the Balfa Brothers, Boozoo Chavis, Bois Sec Ardoin, Canray Fontenot, Preston Frank, and Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys.Based in Urbana, the lineup includes Matt Turino (fiddle) Rob Krumm (accordion), Charlie Harris (bass), Sam Payne (guitar), Dave Pride (drums) and different special guests each month!
