Last year we had the idea to do a whiskey festival in Downtown Champaign because we believe in the CU as a great whiskey market, because it is! And you guys proved it, so we’re back this year. We have tasting booths, swag, and informational sessions. Meet up with other whiskey fans, set up trades..basically come be with your people! There is a VIP night on Friday August 8th, and a main event we call the Gala, on Saturday August 9th. We hand-picked special barrels for the event for sale through our partners Punch!, Big Grove, and Super Lucky Star. This year we’re lucky to have the City of Champaign involved, who are providing us with the new developed Downtown Plaza area to hold the event and much more! The VIP event will be held on Friday August 8th at 6:30pm in the One Main building on the third floor above Big Grove. There is series of classrooms with different presentations from representatives from acclaimed distilleries such as Sazerac, Brown-Foreman, and more. There will be bottles for sale exclusive to the VIP event. The Gala event will be held on Saturday August 9th from 2-5pm in a tent in the Downtown Plaza on Neil near Big Grove. With your ticket, you will receive a VIP Goodie Bag, a Gala Goodie Bag, the opportunity to buy hand-selected barrels at the VIP event, and more. Disclaimer: you must be 21+ to order. We will check ID at the time of pickup and will not issue a refund if you are underage. There will be videographers and photographers present.
