C-U's new Greek folk group will perform for the 1st half of this show,
followed by an improv community session led by Dimitri Glaros. 

Koryphaios is a CU-based band specializing in Greek folk music, led by Dimitri Glaros (violin, bouzouki, voice), and backed up by a strong foundation of guitar, eletric bass, and percussion. Made up of members from a wide range of musical backgrounds, the group delivers the powerful melodies and rhythms of traditional Greek dance music, along with more delicate pieces, creating a sound that is both new and timeless.

Improvisers Exchange is a multifaceted initiative led by Jason Finkelman broadly exploring omni-idiomatic improvised music. IE @ Rosebowl Tavern provides opportunity to present unique combinations University of Illinois ensemble members along with improvising artists from our community and beyond.
