Dean Stephanie Davingman will give a talk called "In Search of Family: Tracing Ancestors"
about processes involved in examining one’s family background/genealogy.
She will provide examples and include discussion of challenges
specific to African Americans in these efforts.
This talk is part of Parkland College's observation of
Black History Month in February.
With the theme "African Americans and Labor,"
the college will explore historical and contemporary
African American accomplishments.
Events are open to the public unless otherwise noted.
