Join us for Young Artist's Studio featuring local artist,
Kinsey Fitzgerald, who will lead kids in making their own creation.
Step into Monet’s garden with artist Kinsey Fitzgerald, and explore
how artists use color, light, and imagination to create hope.
In this hands?on workshop, young artists will learn a bit of art history
about Claude Monet and how he began his famous Water Lilies series
during a difficult moment in the world. Together, we will look at images
of his paintings, along with works by contemporary artists, like Cy Gavin,
for inspiration and to observe how making art is hope in action.
After a short demonstration, participants will create their very own
“water lily study,” experimenting with color, texture, and reflection
just like Monet did in his garden at Giverny. This workshop invites
young artists to slow down, look closely, and make something beautiful
as a reminder that hope is something we can practice through creativity.
Please wear clothes for painting.
