the basics and get hands-on experience.
Whether you're a total newbie or want to brush up on your skills,
this event is perfect for you. Bring your enthusiasm and leave
with a cute miniature pillowcase.
Hosted in the back room of Plant Mode, in downtown Champaign.
Taught by our guest teacher Kristin LeSueur.
She is a sewist and fiber artist working across garment-making,
foundation paper piecing, and quilting. Their practice is grounded
in curiosity and sustainability, using reclaimed materials and
traditional techniques to explore how fabric can hold memory,
function, and form. Through thoughtful construction and
experimentation, they create pieces that blur
the line between everyday utility and expressive craft.
