The Parkland College Jazz Combo will host its spring concert at the
college’s Second Stage Theatre.
The ensemble will feature special guest Josh Houchin on bass,
Director Kevin Hart on piano and vibraphone, Tim Holl on alto saxophone,
Jacob Poole on trombone, Jakob Schifo on guitar and vocals, and James Kinsella on drums.
For decades, the Parkland Jazz Combo has provided a great opportunity
for upcoming musicians in the Champaign-Urbana area to gain playing
and improvisation experience in a small jazz group setting.
The repertoire often consists of jazz classics and well-known standards
as well as originals and arrangements by the members themselves.
