Celebrate the beauty of the garden through fabric and creativity
in this relaxing, beginner-friendly workshop. In Vegetable Fabric Collage,
you’ll design and create a colorful portrait of your favorite summer vegetable—
perfect to frame, transform into a quilt block, or use as a unique clothing patch.
Using fabric scraps, needle, and thread, you’ll design and construct a vibrant vegetable
collage from start to finish. You’ll begin by sketching your design, then layer and
arrange fabric pieces to build depth, color, and personality in your composition.
With guided instruction, you’ll learn how to secure your applique and
add simple stitching details, resulting in a finished piece that reflects
your own creative vision. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a
completed fabric applique and the skills to continue creating at home.
